CHESHIRE NATIONAL VINTAGE TRACTOR ROAD RUN 2008

Unlike other events the 'National' does not have a permanent home or host. The 2008 event was hosted by Gordon Cooper and The Morley Vintage Tractor Club in the dairy county of Cheshire.

If you thought that Cheshire only consisted of acres and acres of high quality grazing in flat fields with neatly trimmed hedges then you will be in for a surprise. A large amount of the route was on woodland tracks with fabulous views from the hilltops.

The 'National' is always held on Easter Sunday and in 2008 Easter Sunday was on 23rd March, possibly the earliest it has ever been. The weather was bitterly cold with a strong biting wind but without the snow and hail that prevailed in the rest of the country.

Once again, around 400 tractors were present and the list of marques and models is simply too large to be included on this cover.
